Competitions updates and reminders for the 2026 PGA TOUR Season
The 2026 PGA TOUR Season and 20th year of the FedExCup will begin at this week’s Sony Open in Hawaii (Jan. 15-18) featuring previously announced eligibility enhancements and updates to the season-ending stretch. Top 100 exempt status and field size adjustments will be in effect as players compete over 37 official events with the top 30 players advancing to the season-ending TOUR Championship in August where the FedExCup Champion will be crowned.

Cadillac named sponsor of the Cadillac Championship, the PGA TOUR’s new Signature Event
The PGA TOUR today welcomed Cadillac as title sponsor of the Cadillac Championship, the new Signature Event at Trump National Doral, in a multi-year agreement. The Cadillac Championship, set for April 27-May 3, 2026, on the famed Blue Monster, will be broadcast on CBS/Paramount+, Golf Channel and three PGA TOUR Studios properties: PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+, Sirius XM and the TOUR’s World Feed.

Scottie Scheffler, Aldrich Potgieter named 2025 PGA TOUR Player and Rookie of the Year, respectively

Hilton Head Island Deep Well Project named 2025 PGA TOUR Charity of the Year

Josh Swanson honored as 2025 PGA TOUR Volunteer of the Year
Josh Swanson, a long-time volunteer at the 3M Open in Blaine, Minnesota, has been selected as the 2025 PGA TOUR Volunteer of the Year. With the award, the PGA TOUR will donate $10,000 to the charity of Swanson’s choosing – the Minnesota 100 Club, an organization founded in 1972 with a purpose to provide financial aid to families of First Responders who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty.

PGA TOUR announces 2026 PGA TOUR Americas schedule
The PGA TOUR has announced the 2026 schedule for PGA TOUR Americas, a slate of 15 tournaments running April through October and spanning nine countries. The tour’s third season will conclude in the Dominican Republic with the PGA Oceans 4 Tour Championship presented by Scotiabank, where the top 10 players on the final season-long points list will earn Korn Ferry Tour membership for 2027.

PGA TOUR announces 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Schedule
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Florida – The PGA TOUR announced today the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour schedule, the 36th season in the Tour’s history, which will include 25 events across seven countries and 15 states. The season will begin January 11-14 with The Bahamas Golf Classic at Atlantis Paradise Island and conclude October 8-11 with the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by Virginia’s Richmond Region.

After assessing a variety of options, the PGA TOUR announced Wednesday that The Sentry will not be contested in 2026. The Sony Open in Hawaii (Jan. 12-18) at Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, will serve as the opening event of the 2026 PGA TOUR schedule and the 20th season of the FedExCup.
